DJ Matt provides an exceptional DJ and professional MC service focused on making your event entertaining and memorable. We have been providing DJ services in the Bay Area since the early 90s, selecting and mixing an extensive library of American Top 40, Dance, Oldies, 80s, Hip Hop, All Genres.
“Matthew began his career as an MC / DJ while in school by playing at dances for his classmates. At 15, he began working as a producer & on-air DJ at a local radio station in Santa Rosa (KMLS). He learned to edit music, write scripts for commercials, news and on-air commentary and to do voice-overs for radio.
At 16, Matthew worked with a local, private production house where he learned to write, produce, edit and engineer spots and programs that aired on such stations as KFRC in San Francisco. From there, he moved into DJ?ing at weddings, corporate events, school dances and the occasional night club. Along with DJ?ing, Matthew was also in the retail side of the music business from 1985 – 2003, giving him a well-rounded appreciation for music of many styles.
With his extensive background & knowledge of music, his creative use of interactive games & icebreakers and his expertise at planning an event that flows well; Matthew has provided energetic, fun-for-all entertainment at over 1,200+ events for groups of all ages and sizes. From Hip Hop to Country or Rock to Oldies, he mixes the music together so everyone’s happy with the choices.
